This website is the property of St Peters Methodist Church in Canterbury and all content belongs to them.

Welcome to the Website for St. Peters Methodist Church. As you will see, we are a lively and welcoming Christian community right in the heart of the City of Canterbury. Although Canterbury is mainly known for its Cathedral, Methodism has also played an important part in the City since the 18th Century. Although we are a Church that very much looks to present and the future, we are also proud of our Methodist heritage.

We believe our mission is to share the good news of Jesus Christ though word and deed. Our church fellowship is made up of many different age groups and backgrounds that reflect the community we serve. We have a wide range of fellowship and study groups, and the church buildings are also used for many community activities.

With three universities in the city along with other colleges of further education, Canterbury is home to a large student population in term time. St. Peters values its links the Universities through its involvement in the Chaplaincy Team and the work our full time Student Worker.

Being a city-centre church, St. Peters is the largest church in the Canterbury and Coastal Methodist Circuit. We also have two Methodist Primary Schools in our Circuit together with strong links with Kent College, the Methodist Independent Boarding School on the outskirts of Canterbury.

When you are in Canterbury please come and join in our Sunday worship and experience for yourself the warmth of our welcome. For more information about our activities, please do not hesitate to contact me. There is also a map showing where St. Peter's is located in Canterbury.
