26/8/08 - Tanzania Drum Group event.

I am delighted to give you a warm welcome on behalf of our lively and vibrant Christian community, based in this lovely church right in the heart of the city. Since the beginning of the 18th century, Methodism has played a significant role and today our community is made up of people of all ages.

Our purpose is to love and worship the God who is revealed in Jesus Christ, and then to witness to that faith as we serve our neighbourhood.

A wide variety of groups encourage fellowship in our Church, and we also support many ecumenical activities which enable mission and service both locally and nationally.

As the largest church in the St Augustine's Methodist Circuit, which stretches from Barham and Stelling in the south to Faversham and Teynham in the north, we offer practical help to small village chapels in our area.

When you are in Canterbury please come and join in our Sunday worship and experience for yourself the warmth of our welcome. For more information about our activities, please do not hesitate to contact me. There is also a map showing where St. Peter's is located in Canterbury.
